Connect Qoyod to Claude and ChatGPT
Short answer
Qoyod lists a Claude connection and a ChatGPT connection on its own marketplace, and for both it says the connection is through Zapier only. Qoyod also offers an API, with a key you create in your business settings, at no extra fee on its paid plans. Treat accounting data as write-sensitive: keep AI read-only until a person approves any entry.
What Qoyod's own pages offer
Qoyod's marketplace has an AI section with two pages: one for Claude and one for ChatGPT. Both describe the same four uses:
- Invoice reading. The AI reads supplier invoice PDFs and pulls out the amount, date, VAT and line items, in Arabic and English.
- Smart classification. It suggests an account for an expense from its description and amount.
- Automatic reports. AI-written monthly summaries of performance and trends.
- Financial forecasts. Revenue and expense projections based on your history.
Qoyod gives the connection type as Zapier and the setup time as 10 minutes, and it answers "Do I need a developer?" with no. The setup has four steps: open the template in Zapier, connect both accounts and approve permissions, choose a scenario, and test with one invoice before you switch the Zap on.
Some statements on these pages are Qoyod's own claims, and we could not verify them. It says classification starts around 80 percent accurate and improves with your corrections, but gives no method. It says the AI cost is typically SAR 0.01 to 0.05 per invoice, depending on your Claude or ChatGPT plan. It says the AI does not keep your data after processing. Test accuracy on your own invoices, and read the data terms of the plan you use instead of relying on a marketplace page.
The Zapier route: what to check
With this route, Zapier sits between Qoyod and the AI, so your data passes through Zapier as well as the AI service. Zapier's Qoyod app lists 14 triggers and 15 actions. The actions include creating invoices, bills, credit notes and manual journal entries, so a careless Zap can write to your books. Zapier's page does not say who built or maintains the Qoyod app.
- Connect Qoyod with a limited user where Qoyod lets you, not with the owner's login.
- Start with triggers and searches only, such as New Invoice or Find Customer. Do not add a Create step yet.
- Send the AI's output to a person. Add any step that creates an entry only after a person has approved what the AI suggested.
- Test with one invoice, as Qoyod advises, ideally on a trial account first.
- Check who can see and edit the Zap and the accounts connected to it.
The direct API route
Qoyod's API integrations page says the API is available free to all subscribers on paid Qoyod plans, with no extra fees and under a fair-use policy, and that high-volume users should contact support. You create an API key in the business's general settings. Requests send it in an API-KEY header. The page says calls are bound by your business's accounting permissions. The API covers 19 resources, including customers, products, invoices, inventory and journal entries, and the developer documentation is at apidoc.qoyod.com.
Qoyod says using the API requires knowledge of REST and JSON, and it points businesses without developers to ready-made integrations such as Zapier. The page does not say whether a key carries the rights of the user who created it. Ask Qoyod, and until you know, treat the key like an administrator's password.
- Ask Qoyod support whether a key can be limited to reading, and whether it follows the creating user's rights.
- Create the key in the general settings and keep it in a secrets store, not in a chat or a spreadsheet.
- Give it only to the connector that needs it. Qoyod says you can revoke or rotate a key at any time.
- Test on fake data first. Qoyod offers a 14-day free trial, which is one way to try a connector before you point it at your real books.
Community-built servers
A community-built Qoyod MCP server is listed on Glama. The listing says it connects Claude to Qoyod's REST API with an API key. It names tools that list and get customers, invoices, bills, vendors and journal entries, tools that create a customer, an invoice and a journal entry, and a general passthrough tool. It does not say that Qoyod makes or maintains the server, it shows no licence, and it says the server cannot be deployed from Glama. We have not tested it and do not endorse it.
Before you use any community server, read its code, find out who maintains it, and make sure its writing tools can be switched off. Never give it a key you could not afford to leak.
Accounting data: read-only first, approvals for entries
- Read before you write. Start with reports and look-ups. Add anything that creates an entry only when a person approves each one.
- Mind e-invoicing. Qoyod's pages list ZATCA e-invoice support. Ask your accountant what an invoice created by an automation would mean for your e-invoicing before you allow it.
- Mind personal data. Customer and vendor records can include personal data. If a connector can read them, check with your legal adviser first.
- Keep a record. Note every entry the AI suggested and who approved it.

Combining Qoyod with your sales systems
Qoyod's API integrations page lists ready-made integrations with Salla, Zid and other e-commerce platforms, and with Zapier. Those are data integrations, not AI connectors. To compare your store or restaurant sales with what accounting shows, you still need the sales system and Qoyod connected together. See our pages on Salla and Foodics, and the guide on one report for all branches and channels.
Using Wafeq or another accounting system instead? The same rules apply: read-only first, approval for entries, and a record of changes.
Questions people ask
Does Qoyod work with ChatGPT?
Qoyod's marketplace has a ChatGPT page. It describes the same four uses and says the connection is entirely through Zapier. It names no specific ChatGPT plan.
Do I need a developer?
For the Zapier route Qoyod says no. For the API route its page says you need to know REST and JSON.
Is the 80 percent accuracy figure reliable?
It is Qoyod's own figure and the page gives no method. Test it on a sample of your own invoices, and have a person approve every classification.
Is the API free?
Qoyod's page says it is available free to all subscribers on paid Qoyod plans, under a fair-use policy. It does not name specific plans, so check yours with Qoyod.
Where Vootlabs fits
Accounting is where every other system ends up, which is why one connector for it rarely answers a whole question. Vootlabs is onboarding design partners who use Qoyod alongside other systems, such as a store on Salla or a restaurant on Foodics. The aim is one place to ask across all of them, with access by role, approval before any change and a full audit trail.
